Man Pleads Guilty to Accident that Killed Friend

A 22 year-old has recently pleaded guilty to various charges that were a result of an accident that left a friend dead.

The accident took place as the man was attempting to flee from the police.  While attempting to flee,  the man lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree.   

With the current charges that are being pressed,  the man will be facing a minimum sentence of 4 years in prison.  The charges include DUI,  fleeing an office,  homicide by vehicle while under the influence, and other charges.

Woman Suspected in Hit-and-Run Accident

Police have recently identified a 75 year-old woman who they believe is responsible for a hit-and-run accident that took place on July 15th. 

The accident left a 13 year-old boy seriously injured and in critical condition.  The boy is now recovering at home with his family. 

The police received hundreds of tips regarding the accident, and one of the tips led them to the suspected vehicle.  The vehicle had damage to the hood and wind shield.  After interviewing the suspected driver,  police have stated she believed she had hit a deer.  Charges could be pending in this accident and the police are currently  reviewing the investigation.

Police Officer Sent to Hospital After Being Hit with Vehicle

A police officer in Pennsylvania was recently taken to the hospital after being struck by a Ford Escort.  The officer was responding to an accident scene and trying to direct the flow of traffic to to the far right lane to allow emergency response. 

At this point, the Ford Escort began to try and go around the directed traffic into the left lane.  The officer then began to try and stop the vehicle before being struck by it.  The officer had to be taken to the hospital and is being treated for a variety of injuries.

Other officers arrested the driver and two passengers inside the vehicle.  Alcohol and marijuana were found inside the vehicle.   The vehicle that struck the officer had extensive damage to the windshield and hood.

Woman Killed in Fatal Accident While Walking

A Pennsylvania woman lost her life Friday night as she was attempting to cross a street.  The woman was a 21 year-old female from Springfield. 

According to reports,  the woman was crossing the street when she was struck by a vehicle.  The vehicle was driven by a 58 year-old man.  

The woman was rushed to the hospital by emergency workers for treatment after the accident,  however the woman eventually died from her severe injuries. 

The accident is currently under investigation by authorities.  More details should be released in the next few days and charges could be pending based on the investigation results.

Motorcyclist Killed in Accident

A 20 year-old motorcycle rider from Croydon lost his life last night in an accident.

The accident took place shortly before midnight.  According to initial reports, a 17 year-old girl was taking a turn on another road, and drove in the path of the motorcycle.  The man hit the car and was ejected from the motorcycle.   The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, however his injuries still caused death.

No alcohol or drugs are suspected for either party.  An investigation is currently underway, and charges could possibly be filed in the future.

Motorcyclist Injured in Accident

A motorcyclist was injured in an accident on Sunday afternoon in Pennsylvania.   The accident was a two vehicle accident involving a car and a motorcycle.  

The man had to be airlifted to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania to be treated for his injuries. 

The
accident took place near Route 309 around 5:30 p.m.  Initial reports
indicate that the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of
the accident.

Alcohol Likely in Accident

A fatal accident recently took place on Monday in Tioga County, Pennsylvania.  Authorities have stated that they believe that alcohol was one of the main factors involved in the cause of the accident.

The accident occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Monday.  The car was being driven by a woman who was suspected of being intoxicated.  The car lost control of the vehicle and hit another car. The passenger in the front seat received serious injuries that turned out to be fatal.  The front seat passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two young children were in the back of the car at the time of the accident and hat to be taken to a hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Woman Charged with Fatal Turnpike Accident

A woman in Pennsylvania faces charges related to causing an accident that killed her boyfriend. The woman has been charged with homicide and attempted homicide.

The boyfriend was driving a vehicle at the time when the accident took place.  The woman and the man were arguing when the woman jerked the steering wheel.  This caused the car to go out of control and an accident to occur.  The boyfriend was ejected from the vehicle because of the accident.  

Two of the woman's children were in the back of the vehicle at the time of the accident.  The two kids were ejected from the vehicle, but were not killed in the accident.
