Posted on April 2nd, 2010 No Comments

Beginning earlier in March, a dental adhesive company has faced a lot of heat in court for adding harmful amounts of zinc to its products. Many dental adhesives use zinc to help bond dentures to the gum, but zinc can have dangerous effects on some users.

In one Philadelphia case, a 44-year-old woman uses a walker now after poisonous amounts of zinc entered her system through dental adhesive, the suit claims. She lost her teeth due to pregnancy complications, she says, and now she is housebound, unable to care for her 11-year-old son.
