Dog Bite Lawsuit Filed in California

Posted on Tuesday, November 30th, 2010 at 8:08 pm

A woman in California has filed a dog bite lawsuit against her neighbors.

According to documents filed in Harris County District Court on Tuesday, Rose Williams claims that her neighbors, Steven and Amanda Spielman, were negligent in their handling of their dog, Jax, allowing the animal to come in direct contact with her. Williams says she was working in her garden in December of 2008 when the 69-pound hound mix bit her on the hand. The lawsuit claims the bite left Williams with “serious, debilitating physical injuries.”

Williams is seeking damages for lost past wages, physical pain, scarring, and future medical care. She is also asking the court for pre- and post-judgment interest, court costs, and all other damages incurred.

Neither Steven nor Amanda Spielman have commented on the lawsuit.
